Finca Son Pieras

Son Pieras is an agricultural estate of some 34 hectares located 24 kms from Palma –the capital city of the island- and 18 kms from the airport.

The family history of the farm dates back to 1868 when they started growing grains such as wheat, oats and rye to feed the people and the herds of sheep, pigs and chickens.

They can still be seen on the farm situated next to the well kept gardens of Son Pieras.

There are also almond, carob and fig groves, palm trees, a large variety of plants typical of the region and charming and secluded spots among the trees.

The stately house has two floors.

On the main floor there is a spacious living-room and a dining-room with a fireplace; the floor has ceramic tiles, with wooden beams that cross the ceiling while French windows lead to the garden inundating the room with the bright Mediterranean light.

In the old original kitchen there is also a fireplace still in use to cook meals for the guests who wish to have dinner in the hotel, there is also and a TV lounge where one can spend a restful evening.

The walls are decorated with an impressive collection of paintings, landscapes and portraits, which combined with the antique furniture create an elegant atmosphere.
